Matthew Weier O’Phinney

Matthew Weier O’Phinney is the Principal Product Manager at Perforce OpenLogic and Zend, where he focuses on creating the tools and support developers need to build and deploy their applications. He has been using and contributing to open source software since 2002, counting a patch to the Blackbox window manager as his first public OSS contribution.

Matthew has led large open source projects, including Zend Framework, which he started developing on before its first public release, leading the project from 2009 to 2019. He has also contributed to standards bodies, has advised and participated in open source foundations such as The PHP Foundation, and is the Project Lead for the Laminas Project. He has contributed to many open source projects and communities, many of which can be found on github and his personal website.

Gaël Blondelle

Gaël Blondelle is a dedicated open source executive with over 20 years of experience. He currently serves as the Secretary and VP of Community Operations at the Eclipse Foundation, and as Secretary of the Board for the Open Source Initiative (OSI). Since co-founding an open source startup in 2004, he has spent his career bridging the gap between technology and business by building collaborative, sustainable ecosystems across enterprises and research organizations. Today, his core mission is to champion digital sovereignty, helping companies leverage open source not just to catch up, but to establish true global technology leadership.

Duane O'Brien

Duane is Executive Director at the Open Source Initiative. He previously built and led Open Source and collaborative engineering programs at Capital One, Indeed, and PayPal. He serves on the board of the Open Source Collective and is an alumnus of the Technologist Fellowship program at the National Security Institute of George Mason University. His work has included advising programs such as the GitHub Accelerator, Hacktoberfest and leading efforts to develop funding models that support maintainers and communities.
