Duane O'Brien

Duane is Executive Director at the Open Source Initiative. He previously built and led Open Source and collaborative engineering programs at Capital One, Indeed, and PayPal. He serves on the board of the Open Source Collective and is an alumnus of the Technologist Fellowship program at the National Security Institute of George Mason University. His work has included advising programs such as the GitHub Accelerator, Hacktoberfest and leading efforts to develop funding models that support maintainers and communities.
