Users see visual cues of green, yellow and red which indicate which open source products are approved for use in the enterprise. Administrators can also define which specific open source products are displayed in the library for each user, group of users or the company as a whole. This capability enables companies to create approved lists or eliminate from the library any options that don’t meet corporate policies.

Review and manage open source licenses
With OpenLogic Enterprise it is easy to review and manage open source licenses. OpenLogic Enterprise categorizes the license type and includes the full license text for each open source product in the library. Once users select which products and stacks to deploy, an automated license report provides a summary of all the licenses used by those products as well as any products they depend on. Your legal staff can then quickly review the licenses to ensure compliance with corporate policies. When new versions or releases of open source products are available, OpenLogic also reviews and documents any license changes as part of the OpenUpdate subscription service.
