OpenLogic Extends Reach in Japan with Ashisuto Strategic Partnership

BROOMFIELD, Colo. May 29, 2007 -OpenLogic, Inc., a provider of enterprise open source software solutions encompassing hundreds of open source packages, today announced a strategic partnership with K.K. Ashisuto, a leading IT services provider.
"OpenLogic and Ashisuto will make enterprise-grade open source management tools and support available for large Japanese enterprises using open source products," said Steven Grandchamp, CEO of OpenLogic. Under the agreement, OpenLogic will provide support to Ashisuto customers for hundreds of open source packages.
In a recent customer survey, Ashisuto learned that its largest customers in Japan were already using significant amounts of open source software. The survey indicated that many of the responding companies face issues with open source software such as support, ability to correct software errors, increased operational management tasks, technical training issues, and deciding how to avoid licensing violation risks.
