OpenLogic Establishes European Presence With New UK Distributor

BROOMFIELD, Colo. January 29, 2007 -OpenLogic, Inc., a leading provider of software, stacks and support that enable enterprises to easily deploy and manage customized open source environments, today announced a partnership with leading European open source distributor Interactive Ideas to further expand OpenLogic's worldwide market presence. Under the partnership, Interactive Ideas, the largest pure open source distributor in the UK, will manage distribution of OpenLogic Enterprise and OpenLogic Library Edition to enterprise customers in the UK.

Interactive Ideas is an established leader in the UK open source market, where it is the leading distributor for Red Hat Software and a distributor for such companies as VMWare and Novell. The Interactive Ideas team will leverage their extensive distribution and sales experience as the primary distributor for OpenLogic Enterprise, OpenLogic's flagship open source integration and management software. UK-based Value-Added Resellers (VARs) will not only be able to sell the software directly, but also use it to configure and validate customized stacks for resale.

"As open source adoption in the enterprise accelerates in Europe, there is a growing need for solutions that eliminate the risks around the sourcing, support, and licensing of open source software," said Michael Trup, Interactive Ideas managing director. "OpenLogic is the only company that addresses this market with a truly commercial-grade solution, and we're excited to work with them to help satisfy this growing demand."

"Interactive Ideas will be an invaluable partner for us as we tap into a fast-growing international market for comprehensive enterprise open source solutions," said Steven Grandchamp, CEO of OpenLogic, "As the premier open source distributor and reseller in the UK, they offer tremendous expertise and experience in the market, and we look forward to leveraging this partnership towards strong growth in Europe."

The deal between OpenLogic and Interactive Ideas comes at a good time for Europe. OpenLogic removes many barriers to using open source software in corporate environments. A recent report funded by the European Commission's Information Society Technologies concluded that increasing the FLOSS (Free/Libre Open Source Software) share of software investment from 20% to 40% would lead to a 10 Billion Euro increase of the European Union's GDP.
