Launch of scanning solutions drives skyrocketing sales growth from new customers
BROOMFIELD, Colo. February 1, 2011 - OpenLogic, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise open source software support, scanning, and governance solutions today announced that the company saw record sales growth in 2010. The economic recovery is accelerating enterprise investment in high-quality, low-cost open source software, driving higher demand for OpenLogic products and services.
Sales to new customers climbed sharply by 133% with the strongest growth in the technology sector due to uptake of OpenLogic's new source code scanning solution.
Existing customers expanded their use of OpenLogic products and services, resulting in 68% growth in sales of add-on products.
OpenLogic hit the ground running with its new source code scanning tools, racking up competitive wins against Black Duck. Customers chose OpenLogic's SaaS (software-as-a-service) solution over competitors for more accurate results, faster reconciliation and lower costs.
OpenLogic now has over 200 customers worldwide, the majority of which are large enterprises. In 2010 OpenLogic also saw strong growth among smaller enterprises, where sales grew 125% over 2009 figures. OpenLogic's top industries continue to be financial services and technology, with the strongest growth in 2010 coming from the technology sector due to the launch of OpenLogic's popular, new source-code scanning solutions.

During 2010, OpenLogic's tools were used to scan millions of files. OpenLogic's fingerprint library currently covers over 339,000 projects and 8 billion lines of code.

OpenLogic joined the Linux Foundation, continuing its active participation in The Linux Foundation's Open Compliance Program (which includes FOSSBazaar) and is helping to develop the SPDX data exchange standard which will be used to share software bills of materials.
OpenLogic signed partnerships with a number of open source software vendors including GroundWork, and Talend – acting as distribution channel to provide support on their community editions.
