Free Tshirts again!

Posted by Stormy on August 4th, 2008 in Open Source

So last year I blogged about a new trend at OSCON, Donations for Tshirts. This year, free Tshirts were back. (I got four.) So what confuses me is that supposedly the economy isn't doing well now, but here were a bunch of companies with nice booths, handing out tshirts. I figure either:

  • the economy isn't doing so bad, or
  • the companies really need developers and so are willing to spend more, or
  • open source companies lead the market and we'll see a turnaround in the economy soon.

I like the last one. No more complaining about the economy, it's turning around!
