Cheaper International Calls When Traveling

Posted by Stormy Peters on August 16th, 2007 in Uncategorized

One of the hard parts of international travel is that it costs $1/minute to use most cell phones.  That makes staying in touch with those at home pretty expensive.  I use Skype to call home but for that I have to be on a computer, in a quiet place, and I have to initiate the call.

Someone just pointed me to letsroam – according to their website, you buy a SIM card for your phone and you get their rates.  On my recent trip to the UK I would have gotten free incoming calls and only 40 cents/min to call home!

I'm going to try it on my very next international trip.
