We recently announced the fall schedule of open enrollment training courses, including several introductory and advanced Java training courses. All of our Java training courses are conducted online and taught live in our virtual classroom by a Java expert. All you need to participate is a phone, computer, high-speed Internet connection, and the willingness to learn. All courses begin at 9:00am Pacific / noon Eastern and are 4 hours in duration.

One impact Cloud will have on open source is that it's a new niche to be filled with a new ecosystem of OSS projects. Over the last 10 years, especially, whenever a new sandbox appears, it creates a flood of new projects. Think web servers (Apache, Nginx), web development frameworks (Struts, Rails), app servers (JBoss, Zope), NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB), map/reduce (Hadoop, HBase), virtualization (Xen, VirtualBox), mobile (Android, Funambol), and now cloud (DeltaCloud, Open Stack).
